Plan backward from the big night
Holiday parties, family photos, a wedding or a New Year's Eve dinner: if you want your skin at its best for a certain date, timing matters as much as the treatment you choose. Some treatments show results within days. Others work by building collagen, which takes weeks. And a few need a little recovery time before you are camera ready.
The easiest way to plan is to pick your most important date and count backward. Thanksgiving falls on November 26 this year and Christmas on December 25, so late October is a smart time to make a plan. Here is a simple timeline, based on how each treatment at
typically works. Your provider will fine-tune it for your skin at your consultation.
8 or more weeks out: start the treatments that build collagen
Scarlet PRO RF microneedling
Scarlet PRO combines fine needles with radiofrequency energy beneath the surface to support collagen renewal for firmness, texture and the look of pores. A series of 3 sessions about 4 weeks apart is often recommended, and improvement continues as collagen remodels over roughly 4 to 8 weeks. That is why it belongs at the front of your plan. Mild redness for about 24 to 48 hours is typical.
NOUVADerm for deeper resurfacing
NOUVADerm is a 1927 nm fractional laser used for sun damage, uneven tone, fine lines and texture. Visible change commonly develops over about 2 to 6 weeks. If your provider recommends a more intensive setting, which can mean several days of recovery, schedule it well ahead of any event.
Start a medical-grade home routine
What you do every day supports what happens in the treatment room.
carries Marini Skin Solutions, including a mineral zinc sunscreen and medical-grade skin care. Starting a consistent routine now gives your skin time to adjust before treatments begin and helps support your results. See our skin care page to explore the line.
About 6 weeks out: body treatments and lighter resurfacing
HIFEM + RF body sculpting
If a fitted dress or suit is part of the plan, HIFEM + RF combines strong muscle contractions with radiofrequency heat in the same session. A typical plan is a series of 4 to 6 sessions over the course of 2 to 3 weeks per area. There are no needles and no planned downtime, though mild muscle soreness like a hard workout can happen for a day or two. Results develop after the series rather than overnight, so finish it well before your event.
Gentler NOUVADerm settings
Non-ablative NOUVADerm settings usually mean minimal downtime. Booking about 4 to 6 weeks before your date gives your skin time to show improvement in tone and texture.
2 to 4 weeks out: neurotoxin for expression lines
Neuromodulator injections soften dynamic lines such as forehead lines, crow's feet and the "11s" between the brows. The appointment takes about 10 to 15 minutes, initial effects often begin within 3 to 5 days, and full results are commonly visible around day 14. Results typically last about 3 to 4 months, so a late November or early December visit can carry you through the season.
Tip: Aim for at least 2 weeks before your event, and 3 to 4 weeks if it is your first time. That leaves room to see your full result and to schedule a follow-up visit if your provider recommends one. Small bruises at an injection site can happen, which is one more reason not to wait until the last few days.
The final week: protect, hydrate and keep it simple
- No new treatments or new products. This is not the week to try something for the first time.
- Wear a mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide every day. Florida sun does not take the holidays off, and treated skin is more sensitive.
- Stay with your routine. Gentle cleansing, hydration and the products your provider recommended.
- Sleep and water. Simple, free and visible on your skin.
Why booking early matters at
is open Thursday 12 to 6 and Saturday 10 to 3, and holiday weeks fill quickly. A short consultation now lets your provider look at your skin and health history, decide which treatments suit you, and map the dates for you. Candidacy is always decided at consultation, and individual results vary.
Common questions
My event is only 3 weeks away. Is it too late?
Not necessarily. Neurotoxin and gentle options may still fit, and collagen-building treatments can start now for results that keep improving into the new year. Your provider will tell you what is realistic.
Can I combine treatments?
Often, yes. For example, neurotoxin for expression lines and Scarlet PRO for texture can be part of the same plan. Your provider will space them so your skin has time to recover between visits.
